Small sized stainless steel dog id tag featuring a Paw Print measures 7/8″ in diameter. This stainless steel id tag is 2 mm or 1/8″ thick and weighs .25 oz. Perfect for pets under 15 lbs. Indestructible! Chew proof! Materials
Our cute stainless steel dog id tag featuring a Paw is unmatched for its durability and classy good looks. The dog id tag is cast from yacht grade duplex 2205 stainless steel at a foundry here in Maine. The duplex 2205 stainless steel alloy we use is unsurpassed for its hardness and non-corrosive properties, which means the alloy will NEVER rust (even in salt water), shrivel, bend, blacken, become dull, or wear through at the loop. 7/8″ in diameter, the tag is also thick and measures the whopping equivalent of two dimes stacked together. A very thick bale or loop insures the tag will not wear through, fall off, or be lost. If you are looking for a truly indestructible tag for your little guy or gal, this is the one, and its CHEW PROOF!
Front & Back
The front of the engraved small stainless steel Paw dog ID tag has a sweet raised graphic of an adorable paw print! This highly polished Paw stands proudly above a recessed matte stainless steel surface to give the tag a real jewelry like, two toned appearance that is truly unique. The matte surface stays matte because it is recessed. The back of the tag holds your engraving on its polished surface.
Engraving
Engraving quality is just as important as the tag design and material itself. The engraved small stainless steel Paw ID tag boasts 3 lines of engraving which includes 12 characters per line. A pulsed fiber laser is used to deeply vaporize metal from the lines being engraved. The laser process leaves a very crisp, well defined, blackened line behind which is really optimal for readability. A lifetime guarantee accompanies all of our tags and that guarantee includes the engraving as well as the tag.
Also, if for some reason, you ever need to change the information on the back of your tag, we can regrind, polish, and engrave the tag all over again. There is a charge for this service but it insures that you will never have to truly replace your tag. After all, a Silver Paw tag is a “forever tag” that you will eventually cherish even more one day…

This is the nicest tag I’ve ever seen. It’s like a piece of jewelery. I’m thinking I’d like to get another one in medium for me in case I ever loose my mind. Honestly if you got hurt without your purse or other ID it might come in handy to have a phone number someone could call. I received my small tag for my 7# miniature pinscher. I waited several weeks before writing this review because my little dog has destroyed her tags by chewing on them. Karen assured me these were chew proof, so I decided to give it a try. She has tried chewing on this tag but I see no real visible marks from her teeth. It is still beautiful without teeth marks and dents. I think I found a winner. Well worth the money! Thanks for a great quality USA made item!

Not Just For Dogs These are actually going to be used as prom charms for my daughter and her boyfriend. Best dog tags ever! I’ve had many tags from vendors at large Pet stores, and smaller vendors at the Fryeburg Fair, and none of them last. The softer metals just do not hold up.
